Past Events
CLAW Nation Fundraiser: For $1 a clothes pin, attendees at the Mr CT Leather contest got to "pin a title holder". Most of the current title holders participated in the event which raised just over $200 for CLAW. (view gallery)
Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade: What a blast this event was. We had the privilege of being balloon handlers in the parade as a prize for Team Eagle raising the most money for Braking the Cycle. The team raised over $63,000! Go Team Eagle! (view gallery)
World AIDS Day 2007: What a bittersweet event this is. I started out at the concert held at the LGBT Center, which was immediately followed by the march and candle light vigil in Union Square. There I got to read names of those we've lost to the epidemic. I go to these events as a way to remember my friends that are no longer with us, yet at the same time I try to remember how they lived and not how they passed. We had a decent showing of leather brothers as well as ACT UP. (view gallery)

St Nicholas Day Celebration: What a wonderful event. My partner, Rick, and I attended this event last year and we found it totally by chance. We enjoyed it so much last year that I decided to make it my first leather event. It's a small concert put on at St John the Divine church that doubles as a holiday gift drive to benefit AIDS Action International. All of the gifts were given to folks living with HIV in the local New York City area. This year we were able to get about 22 men to attend in leathers. (view gallery)
NYboL Leather Santa: The New York boys of Leather hosted their monthly party in December where I got to play "Leather Santa". You've got to love an event where people pay you to sit in your lap and on occasion, get spanked for not being naughty enough. The event raised just over $500 for The LGBT Center here in NYC. Jail and Bail: What a blast last night was. You know it's a good night when you leave the Eagle with no voice ;) We raised just under $1300 for Safer+Saner last night and I think we all know BK well enough that he'll put the money to good use and make a difference out there!
You guys know the saying ... it takes a small village to host a Jail and Bail, and last night was certainly no exception. I can tell it was truly a hardship for Z, Bob, and Eric doing all of the interrogating by themselves. You guys enjoyed yourselves just a bit, it seemed ;) NYboL ... there in full force as always. No one can shake down people like you guys and your support of Mr Eagle is amazing! Thanks to all of my arresting officers (Rick, Brett, Devin, and Johnny) for giving us our steady stream of jail bait. And a very special thanks to Dean Flynn and Titan for supporting this event.
I'd also like to thank our other title holders who came from out of town to help out: our warden Spanky, Mr NJ Leather ... and you even helped out on your birthday!!! Jayson, Mr CT Leather wuzzie ... and of course Chris Grasso, not only our current Mr CT Leather, but also our current Mr MAL ... thanks for your presence and support.
And of course, thanks to the owners of The Eagle, Robert and Derek, who continue to give us and the community tremendous support. Whoever said the scene is dead in NYC hasn't been out much. (view gallery)
Leake and Watts Spinn-a-thon: Leake and Watts Spinn-a-thon: Rick Weber, Mr Eagle NYC 2007, hosted a 2 hour spinn-a-thon to benefit Leake and Watts, a non-profit organization that helps kids living with HIV/AIDS find foster homes, where he raised $300. I hadn't been on a bike since the AIDS ride back in September, and boy I was aching after this event! (view gallery)
San Diego: Rick and I were asked to judge the SD Eagle contest so we took a few days off to visit the area and get away from the cold. Thanks to Michelle Jackson for pulling this together for us, and thanks to Russ Mortensen for hosting us! Also, congrats to Mr Mike for taking the title for 2008! But San Diego wasn't all contest. We did get a chance to head out and visit the SD Zoo and even took a day trip into Tijuana. We tried to see the sunset cliffs in LaJolla, but it was raining. We did get to see the sea lions though (view gallery)

NJ Chili Cook Off: I was a judge in the chili cook off contest held in Asbury Park, NJ this past weekend. Myself and a few other title holders got to pick our favorite chili out of the 15 contestants. One or our own, Lady Caro, was a winner in one of the categories as well! Thanks to Tom Savage, Mr NJ Leather 2006 for pulling this together. Chili and beer hanging out with friends on a Sunday ... can't beat it. Almost $2000 was raised at this event to benefit The Center in Asbury Park which goes towards helping those affected by HIV. (view gallery)
Porno Bingo: Team Eagle hosted Will Clark's Porno Bingo, which kicks off the events for Team Eagle. We raised a little over $600, which is pretty good for a small crowd on a night with horrible weather. Thanks to all who braved the elements and came out to support us!
Smokin' Tuesday: We kicked off what we hope to be a recurring event at The Eagle just this past week. The event was well attended with a great laid back crowd. A few folks said it was reminiscent of the old Hot Ash parties. Let's hope so.
Black Party Ticket Raffle: Mike Peyton generously donated 4 tickets to be raffled off at The Eagle. All of the money raised went to benefit Team Eagle's charity, the HIV/AIDS services of The LGBT Center here in NYC. Thanks to Mike and with the help of other Team Eagle members, we raised about $850 for The Center.
NYboL Boy Auction: The boys held an auction at The Stonewall benefitting SAGE (Senior Action in a Gay Environment) where they raised about $4,000. Blakkat was the emcee and there were other title holders on hand to assist including myself, the past few Mr. Eagles, and Chris Grasso, the current Mr CT Leather/Mr. MAL. (view gallery)
Cleveland Leather Awareness Weekend: Rick and I spent the weekend in Cleveland both attending events and doing our share to make CLAW happen. It was both a great time hanging out with old acquaintances as well as meeting a number of my IML classmates for the first time. I had the pleasure of working with Lady Justice by co-hosting the Tits and Tatts event benefiting breast cancer charities. With the help of Rick as the auctioneer and the numerous other folks who donated items, we raised over $1,300 in just about 2 hours. The event was a great time and a much needed break from the seemingly fast pace of the rest of the weekend. (view gallery)

Team Eagle Auction:Team Eagle was out in full force to raise money for Braking the Cycle, which benefits the HIV/AIDS services of the LGBT Center. We had a wide variety of items donated from leather goods, clothing, cooking classes, and a weekend stay at the W Hotel. Thanks to the generosity of those in attendance, the team was able to raise $3,200 for their charity. (view gallery)
Strip the Stud at Ty's: Team Eagle helped to strip Dean Flynn to raise support for Braking the Cycle.
