Peter Schwartz - Mr. Eagle NYC 2008

Wow! What a ride! This past weekend I was selected as Mr. Eagle NYC 2008. I'm still recovering from the contest. I feel truly honored and humbled. It will truly be my priviledge to work with the NYC community this year.

I look back over the journey to me getting to this point and it's been quite the trip. My partner Rick (Mr. Eagle NYC 2007) and I still joke that this is all Brian Kent's (Mr. Eagle NYC 2004) fault. When I really first started going to The Eagle, it was all very new and I was a little intimidated to say the least. Brian made us feel so welcomed into The Eagle and the leather community. It was a great first experience and I haven't looked back. I hope to be able to do the same for others as they make their journey as well.

It was wonderful watching the past Mr. Eagles grow in the process, especially my partner, Rick. He's had an amazing year and it was wonderful being involved in the process. The bar has been set high, so I hope to make him and the community proud for 2008.

The contest for Mr. Eagle NYC 2008 was held this past Saturday, October 6th. There were a total of four contestants, each of whom brought something different to the table. I look forward to working with them over the coming year.

I hope to see you all out at The Eagle or in my travels. If you're in town, certainly drop a line and come support us at the bar. I look forward to meeting you in person.
